WHY VOLUNTEERS?

Each year Safe Cats Coalition helps hundreds of homeless cats and kittens, making sure they are safely and humanely spayed or neutered and given food, shelter, care, and love. This is all done with volunteer labor, we have no paid position and all our resources go directly to helping cats.

Some of the ways you could help make our job easier  include:

  • Paperwork: Like any organization there are records to keep, copies to make, files to file.

  • Foster: Can you welcome a kitten or grown cat into your home for just a short time while they recover from injuries or surgery?

  • Talk to People: Tell residents of West Columbia about TNR, our mission, and how they can help reduce the number of homeless cats.

  • Trap: You can learn how to trap cats safely and effectively to help curb the population.

  • Transport: If you have a reliable vehicle we'd like your help delivering animals to and from the veterinarians.

  • General: There's always cages to clean, papers to fill out, calls to make, things to fix ....

There's something you can do.  We'll provide any necessary training, you don't need anything but a desire to help.

To get started,  just use the form below to tell us what you are interested in and when you can be available.  One of our volunteers will arrange a meeting.

Yes, I'd like to help the homeless cats, let's meet!
